<description>I&#039;m a home school parent and was very anxious not to short change my kids on math tuition. I did a lot myself, in my own style, which my kids enjoyed and learned well from. One of the approaches that I always used was to preface most &quot;lessons&quot; (we are very informal) with &quot;Oh this is so easy, you&#039;ll have it down in no time&quot;.
But as I mentioned, I was anxious not to miss anything out.
After a lot of searching I found Conquer Maths, which offers 6 free lessons.
Right away I was impressed by the informal style and can do attitude.I felt it was a very similar style to my own, but it was coming from a professional, which although I am an enthusiastic tutor of my children, I cannot claim to be.
The result of using Conquer Maths with my 2 eldest,(13 and 11) was that they finished GCSE (high school)math in a little over 1 year. They spent a maximum of 2 hours daily on the lessons and most importantly they enjoyed it!
How many parents or teachers can say that their students asked if they could do more maths? My 2 boys asked!
