Obama Education Speech Transcript Released Today

NEW: Click here for the complete Obama Education Speech Transcript

President Barack Obama on Education SpeechPresident Barack Obama will deliver a speech about education to students tomorrow. Broadcasting live from noon onwards, Obama’s plan to speak to the students has already stirred up quite a controversy among both schools and parents. Some are calling it a valuable classroom lesson while others fear that the president may be using this as an opportunity for propaganda.

In order to quell this tide of controversy, the White House has announced it will release the transcript of the Obama school speech text on its website (http://www.whitehouse.gov) today to allow teachers and parents a chance to review it.  The hope is to allow them time to decide for themselves if it is suitable for their classes or children to listen to the Education Speech.

Send the kids or don’t send them…either way, they will find out what was said…with the media and people talking, it will get out…

Mr. President WOW you are looking more and more like Jackie Robinson you hit a home run with this speech. I am a sub at Miami Beach High School and this is the message I give to the students.I am known as the sub from hell .I pride myself on getting students to do their work as time in class is to valuable to be wasted.

Because I missed the speech, I went online and read through the speech. I think that for a lot of the kids that this speech may be motivating to them as they may have found that they have a common bond with the President or have similar aspirations. I find that the speeches that the President has made have had an impact on our communities. I work for a community college in the summer and there has been a surge in enrollment ever since the President called for more mothers to go back to school and for others to better their job positions by taking courses. I feel that his speeches are effective and that something is taken from them at many different ages.
